We believe profits are equally as important as social returns, meaning an increase in social welfare and environmental benefits. In our journey to achieve self sustainability, we continuously search for the best business proposals to possibly fund or invest in with the help of our corporate and academic partners. Below is a list of the projects of interest we are currently discussing within the Association and seeking advice from our academic partners for.

Education

Education is the foundation for all who contribute through businesses and the economy or in society. Knowledge help grow the roots each person has shaped through the influence of family, friends, and experiences; knowledge is power. Strengthening relationships in cooperating with the academic world is essential for organizations that constantly seek ready information to compliment research and development of current and future projects. Education mould leaders of tomorrow, helping us build a better world. By developing and promoting proper courses alongside educational institutions, awareness can be brought upon global social and environmental issues, as well as and the importance of improvement and preservation for both.

Some examples of green technology are: renewable energy, waste management, alternative energy, recycling, wind power, solar power, and water treatment. Some technologies conserve energy, while others replace existing ones by increasing efficiency and reducing pollution. The Chinese government has been offering incentives to entrepreneurs who introduce new green technology that assist the advancement of various different industries, particularly agriculture. Through WBEA, members can submit their proposals to the corresponding government department for approval and feedback.

Clean drinking water is a scarce resource. Everyday six thousand people in the world die due to lack of drinkable water. Many organizations devote their efforts and resources to providing people in third world countries with clean drinking water. There are numerous water projects ongoing in the world, the most prominent to be found in Africa. Clean water is something people in the developed world often take for granted, but in many undeveloped countries it is a scarce resource; it is a basic need that we should focus on delivering to those less fortunate. Scientists are constantly trying to discover more effective ways to purify water making it safe enough for human consumption, healthy people lead to a better world.

Social Enterprises

In generating a profit, these businesses create value for society by supporting social aims like charities or by operation itself, creates a social impact like providing employment to those in disadvantaged communities. The innovation from this type of business stems from social entrepreneurs who keep in mind the importance of social value creation using traditional profits as an equal motivation.
